General Plan Advisory Committee Statement of Interest

The City invites individuals interested in participating as a member of the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) to submit a Statement of Interest to the City of Lake Forest Community Development Department for consideration. City Staff will select GPAC members in accordance with the composition approved by the City Council using a range of available information, including individual Statements of Interest, City Council recommendations, and consultation with groups and organizations. Interested persons who are not appointed to the GPAC are encouraged to attend the GPAC regular meetings and provide their input during the scheduled public comment period.  Please complete and return your Statement of Interest by 5:00 PM on Friday August 10, 2018 in order to be considered for this opportunity.

Visioning Workshop #3: Land Use, Design, and Open Space

Join the City of Lake Forest at our third Visioning Workshop to discuss land use, community design, and open space. Please join us from 6:30 - 8:00 on Wednesday July 11th at City Hall to share your ideas for how to address land use, community design issues, and open space and recreation in Lake Forest over the next twenty years. What places in Lake Forest do you love most? What makes the community special? Do you use the City's parks and recreation facilities? Are there places that you would like to see change over time? This event will begin with a brief presentation at 6:30 followed by a series of guided activities focused on the night's topics. Visioning Workshop materials will be posted to the project website following the event. We look forward to seeing you there! 

This is the third Visioning Workshop in a series of three events. Other opportunities to provide feedback will be provided throughout the General Plan Update project including pop-up booths at community events, community open houses, one-on-one interviews, a General Plan Advisory Committee, and online surveys and feedback forums.

This event will begin with a brief presentation at 6:30 followed by a series of guided activities focused on transportation and mobility. City Council Update

The City Council will receive a General Plan Update project briefing at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday May 15th at 6:30 PM. You are invited to attend the meeting in person at City Hall located in the Council Chambers (25550 Commercentre Drive) or live stream the meeting via the City of Lake Forest Facebook Page. The meeting agenda will be posted to the City's Agenda Management Center when it is available for public review. The General Plan Update presentation material will be posted to this website following the meeting.
